Travels with Sylvia

Silvia and I met on our sons' sixth grade field trip to Sterling Valley on a freezing cold day. We discovered a shared love of travel and adventure. We traipsed the streets of Paris for a week, where she loved the fabulous art galleries and architecture and the French ballet. In Zurich we toured a special exhibition of Rodin sculpture and the famous Old Town. When we spent a week in Sedona, Arizona we hiked marveling at the red rock formations and unique landscapes. Everywhere, Sylvia displayed her inquisitive nature and love of meeting new people. Always enjoying her mastery of languages she would engage near strangers in long conversations punctuated with laughter and smiles and always ending with address exchanges. That open and gregarious Sylvia is the friend that I will remember.
