Tomorrow, 08/11/17
Tomorrow shall come, as it has everyday since 11/11/16....
Tomorrow will bring another tear, heavy heart, and your empty chair!
Since you left us, and joined God in his Kingdom, many things have come and gone too.
Your favorite Holiday, Christmas....we didn't do much....our hearts were broken and sad....your chair empty.
Your gifts placed under the tree with care....each one opened with a tearful thank you....
shoes for Ida, and a warm coat for me.
With another tomorrow came Easter our hearts still crying, your chair still empty..... Still the tommows kept coming.
The trees in your yard flowered with grace and beauty, they too must miss you, as their petals fell like tears to the ground.
Your beautiful home is not so right now, as Ida and I have moved in to help Daddy! He misses you so.
Still the tomorrows came....the end of the school year, no one to take shopping for the summer to come as your chair still empty.
With still another tomorrow Your anniversary came, Dad took you flowers with a heavy heart, then came back to your empty chair.
We cleaned the deck, set up your canopy placed the furniture. Your chair still empty.
Now tomorrow will bring your birthday, more tears and hearts still broken....tomorrow we will Celebrate not like in the past...dinner,cakes and gifts, making your day special....tomorrow we will get up with broken hearts, attend mass for you, visit your grave with tears in our eyes, because we will return home to your still empty chair.
So, with tomorrow like all the others ones before.... my broken heart will be sad, my eyes filled with many tears....I shall look up toward Heaven wishing you the very best of Birthday Wishes....knowing that you are celebrating your birth in God's Kingdom.
