Alfred A. Zeno, 66, died on February 15, 2011 unexpectedly of natural causes. Alfred was born May 30, 1944 in Burlington, VT to the late Daniel and Viola (Martin) Zeno. He graduated from Burlington High School and he then joined the Armed Forces and was stationed in Germany, until he was unexpectedly called home to care for his mother due to the passing of his father. Upon his return “Beaver” then spent the next 40 years with the Burlington Electric Department where he met many life long friends Beav retired just 5 short years ago. He was an active member of the VFW Essex Post 6689, a member of BPOE Lodge 916 and a member of the American Legion.

His contagious laugh and bright smile will be truly missed by all whose lives he touched.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years Patricia A. Zeno and three children, Jean L. and husband Norman Parrow of South Burlington, Robert A. and wife Lynn of Milton, Roger L. and wife Tonia of Milton; seven grandchildren, Justin, Robert, Kyler, Alex, Caitlin and Riley; two great grandchildren, Maverick and Taleigh; two sisters Betty Kelly of Colchester and Shirley Bean of Winooski.

He was also predeceased by his sister, Margaret E. Millette on March 9, 2000.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday February 21, 2011 at 11:00 am at St. John Vianney Parish in South Burlington. Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family. A reception will follow at St. John Vianney Hall. Those who wish may make contributions in his memory to the American Heart Association, 434 Hurricane Lane Williston, VT 05495.
