John Erald Young, Sr., 57, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, November 8, 2010 in St. Johnsbury, VT. He was born in Burlington, VT on July 27, 1953 son of the late Edward and Connie (Tourville) Young. He served our country with the U.S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. John will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his: Loving partner and caregiver Wanda Lawrence of St. Johnsbury; Two daughters Aimee Young and her companion Bruce Whitehill of Johnson; Mandee Young of Newport;Two sons: Timothy Young and wife Jennifer of Shelburne; Jeffrey Young and companion Rachel Cheney of Swanton; A step-son John Pike and wife Kristin of Montpelier; Wanda’s children, Scott Lawrence and wife Jessica of Alaska; Tricia Lawrence and Richard Notestine of St. Johnsbury; His brother Jeffrey of Burlington; Four sisters Jackie of Arizona; Joyce and Joanne of Burlington; Jerri and husband Robert of Colchester; Thirteen Grandchildren: Caleb and Nicholas Prue; Blakely Curran; Tanika, Cole and Kaytlyn Young, Brandon Whitehill, Hailey and Brooke Lawrence, Tre Searl, Scott Notestine, Madison and Jaidin Pike. Many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

There will be no public visiting hours. A graveside service with inurnment will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Lakeview Cemetery in Westmore, VT.
