Daniel Viera Obituary

Daniel Viera, 73, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026. He was born on October 1, 1952, to Antone Viera and Gorgina Silva Viera Raposo.

Daniel was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He shared 25 wonderful years of marriage with his wife, Beth Martell Viera. Their life together was filled with family, laughter, adventures, and countless memories that will be treasured forever.

Daniel was a hard worker and took great pride in what he did. For 32 years, he was self-employed as a contractor specializing in seamless gutters, siding, and roofing throughout Danbury and Wolcott, Connecticut. In 2004, Daniel moved to Vermont, where he worked at Columbia Forest Products for 11 years.

While Daniel was proud of his work, it was the simple things in life and the people he loved that meant the most to him. He enjoyed his red truck, traveling, going on cruises, tending to his flowers and garden, and spending time outdoors. He especially looked forward to trips back to Connecticut to see his grandchildren, Natalie and Wesley. Those visits were some of his happiest times.

Daniel loved traveling and making special memories with the people he cared about. One of his favorite memories was taking a cruise with his daughter, Lindsay, when she was 18 years old, giving them special time together that they would always remember. Another memorable adventure was his trip to Gettysburg with Richard Tony and  Larry, a trip that held a special place in his heart. These were the kinds of experiences Daniel cherished—the opportunity to get away, see new places, and spend time with the people he loved.

Family was at the center of Daniel's life. He loved being a husband, dad, and grandfather, and nothing made him happier than having the people he loved around him. He was also devoted to his beloved dog, Cosmo, who held a very special place in his heart.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Beth; his daughter, Lindsay Lowell, and her husband, Brian Lowell; his grandchildren, Natalie and Wesley of Madison, Connecticut; his brothers, Tony Viera and Larry Raposo and his wife, Lori and; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Richard Viera and George Viera.

Daniel will be remembered not only for how hard he worked, but for the love he gave so freely to his family, the adventures he shared, and the little things that made him happy. His absence will be deeply felt, especially by those who were lucky enough to call him husband, Dad, grandfather, brother, or friend.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Daniel's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project, or Disabled American Veterans.

A celebration of Daniel's life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Daniel may no longer be here to make new memories with the people he loved, but the memories he left behind will be carried in their hearts forever. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.  Please visit www.awrfh.com to share your memories and condolences.
