Larry James Whitney Sr. Obituary

Larry James Whitney Sr., born on November 11, 1951.  After a long battle of Parkinson’s Larry passed away on Sat  June 20th 2026.  Larry was born in Burlington, Vt. where he grew up until he joined the U.S. Marines in 1971.

The joy of Larry’s life was spending as much time as he could with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed going to McDonald's in Milton to meet up with some friends. He really enjoyed taking trips to Alabama.


Larry had a few jobs over his lifetime. But his 2 special jobs were working at Lone Pine Campground, The Edlund Co. S Burlington  VT. for 25 Years.


Larry leaves behind his childhood, sweetheart of 53 years Elizabeth (Betsy) Pratt, his daughter Mary, her husband Mike from Alabama, her four children.  His son Larry Jr.  and his 2 children of Milton, his son Christopher and wife Kaitland and their  2 children of Milton, his brother George, wife Sharon of Sudbury Vt and sister Joyce LeBelle of Milton Vt, his brother Francis of Winooski. VT.


Larry was predeceased by his parents Homer and Pearl Whitney, his 3 Beautiful daughters Beth Whitney his twin babies Christy and Elizabeth Whitney, sisters Shirley Mullis ,Barbra Merchant, Marjory Burt , his special cousin and wife Joyce, Ed Whitney.


Per Larry wishes there will be no viewing, visiting hours.


His memorial service will be 12: 00 PM on Sat. July 25th at the Milton Village Cemetery Milton Vt. The family would ask you to Join them for a Celebration Of  his life at the Cornerstone Church  on Bombardier  Rd. Milton Vt.
