Obituary for Marguerite "Maggie" (McAllister) Bailey

Maggie Bailey, born on July 24,1945 as Marguerite McAllister, passed away on March 14, 2024 with her loving family by her side. Maggie was one of twelve children born to Reginald and Ursula (Cutting) McAllister of Belvidere, Vermont.

Maggie married Frederick Bailey on April 25, 1970 in Stowe where they lived and raised their combined family until they moved to Morrisville in 1983. She moved to West Branch Apartments in Stowe in 2019 where she enjoyed playing Yahtzee and other games with her friends Brenda and Barb. Maggie also enjoyed browsing lawn sales, playing games, embroidery and most recently found a passion for diamond painting.

She leaves behind her siblings, Sherida (Rhett) LaRose, Diane (Harold) Deal, Susan (Lou) Haller, and John (Laura) McAllister. Her Children, Sara and Eric Allen along with their children Justin, Jeremy, Eric and Ashley. Marianne with her daughter Amanda, and Basil with his daughter Sahara, Her step-daughters, Cheryl Tardy and her children Danielle, Jackie, Kimberly and Tyler, and Cathy and David Collomy with their children Joseph and Amie. She also leaves many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Maggie's passing allows her to rejoin her parents and siblings Nancy Rooney, Bonnie Lague, Paul, Jimmy, Gary, Brian and Allen McAllister, as well as her loving husband of 49 years.

A special thank you goes out to the team at St. Albans Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center as well as Lamoille Home Health and Hospice for the care they gave Maggie in her last days.
