Obituary for Arthur C. "Buster" Taylor

Arthur C Taylor “Buster” 83 of Sheldon VT passed away unexpectedly April 20th, 2023 at home peacefully with his wife by his side. Arthur was born in St Albans VT on December 3rd, 1939. He was the son of the late Francis and Gertrude (Young) Taylor. He grew up in St Albans VT. Arthur married Sheila Bouchard on March 27th, 1960, they made their home in Swanton and then later Sheldon VT. They had four children.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Sheila. His children Arthur Taylor Jr and wife Cindy, Debbie Chadwick, Frank Taylor and his wife Debbie, Jean Savoy and her husband Robert. His grandchildren Jesse, Billie-Jo, Christopher, Zachary, Nathan & Jeremy Taylor, Alyson Loyer, Tony & Emma Savoy. His great grandchildren Rya Johnson, Paeton Taylor, Lucas & Alyssa Raymond, Mariah Witham, Ryan & Hunter Taylor, Paige & Breanna Martell and Skyleigh Jones. His sisters Anita Sartwell and Beverly Lafrance and brother Richard Taylor and wife Janice. Many nieces and nephews and a special cousin Mike Taylor. He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Robert & Edward Taylor and sisters Betty Stone and Shirley Flood and his granddaughter Amanda Loyer.

Arthur was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He loved being outside and having his garden every year. Also, in his younger years he enjoyed playing his guitar and singing in a band. He also was a carpenter who could build anything just from a picture or fix anything that was broken. He was known as Buster by many. As a young boy, he acquired the nickname Buster from his father because he always tried fixing things but busted them instead. He did carpentry work all his life and retired from Mylan at the age of 62.
