Lorraine M. Belval, 96 passed on peacefully to leave this earth and join her Savior Jesus Christ and unite with the love of her life, Robert (deceased 1995) on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. Lorraine was born in Winooski, VT on July 28, 1926 the daughter of Alfred and Ida (Provost) DeBarge. Lorraine married Robert J. Belval on June 11, 1949 in Winooski, VT.
Lorraine worked many years for the Vermont Furniture Company in Winooski, VT as a bookkeeper until it burned down. She then worked for Queen City Printers in Burlington, VT for many years as a bookkeeper until she retired.
She leaves behind her daughter Monica (Belval) Meigs and her husband Dale Meigs of Coventry, VT, her son David Belval and his wife Inez of Garden Ridge, TX, her daughter Maureen (Belval) Leggett and her husband Richard Leggett of St. Albans, VT, her daughter Roberta and her husband Kevin Greenan of Palmetto, FL, and her daughter-in-law Jackie (Belval) and her husband Randy Powers of Jacksonville, FL. Her grandchildren Scott Meigs, Stacy Fournier, Jody Meigs, Maria Raszka, Ron Joly, Wendy Goff, Patricia Washington, Erick Leggett, Angela Leggett, Jonathan Belval, Kelly Allyn Jones, Kristen Cheryl Alvarado, Kimberly Michelle Spicer and many great and great-great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her loving part-time care giver and family friends Monica Paquette and her husband Eric Paquette of Winooski, VT.
Lorraine was an avid reader, loved playing cards, games, shopping and travelling.
Lorraine was predeceased by her loving husband Robert Belval in 1995, her parents, her siblings and their spouses Harold and Ruth DeBarge, Raymond and Shirley DeBarge and many more of Robert’s siblings and their spouses.
