Obituary for Brenda Companion
Milton - Brenda Companion, 73, passed away on December 4, 2022 at the McClure Miller Respite House with her loving family by her side.
She was born on February 16, 1949 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Lamar & Nina Jo Clements. She met her husband, Larry Companion, when she was young and enjoyed life as a military wife with the US Navy.
She was predeceased by her husband Larry Companion in 2020, her parents and several brothers and sisters. She leaves behind her three daughters, Holly Companion, her partner Bob Gabriel, Sue Maynard, her husband Chuck & Amy Companion with her fiancé Josh Richardson. Her grandchildren were the sparkle in her eyes, Michael, Ethan & Zachary. Last but not least, her cat Abby Jean who gave her the most comfort and joy after her husband passed away.
Brenda’s family would like to thank all of the medical staff at the UVM Medical Center, Miller 5 unit, Green Mountain Nursing & Rehab Center and the exceptional care during the last days of her life at the McClure Miller Respite House. She made friends wherever she went and kept the staff on their toes.
Per Brenda’s request there will be no services at this time. A private ceremony will be held later. We ask that memorial contributions be made in Brenda’s memory to the Burlington Humane Society, 142 Kindness Ct, South Burlington, VT 05403.
