Obituary for Harry Joseph Schneider

Harry Joseph Schneider slipped away peacefully at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester on Wednesday September 21. He was 76. Harry was born in the Bronx. He moved to Vermont in the mid-70’s to spend more time hunting and fishing. He had worked for Pharmalogic in Williston for the past 25 years.

Harry loved to hunt in Vermont and at his camp in the Adirondacks. He was also a dedicated “foodie” and loved trying new restaurants, often in the company of family friend Radetta. And he especially loved going to the Flynn with Carol, where they had the good fortune to see a number of world-class jazz musicians as well as superb dance groups. Harry leaves Carol, his partner for 25 wonderful years; his daughter and son-in-law Krispan and Scott; grandsons Parker and Grady; and Carol’s daughter and son-in-law Stacy and Todd. He is also survived by his former wife Judy and her daughters Beth and Sonia, and by numerous friends and colleagues.

Honoring Harry’s emphatic wishes, there will be no calling hours and no service. His ashes will be scattered at his hunting camp in upstate New York. To remember Harry, please take a walk in the woods, enjoy your favorite performer, or have a really great meal – Harry will approve.
