Obituary for Constance M. (Harrington) Hart

Constance M. (Harrington) Hart, 87 passed away on Saturday, July 2nd,2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 28th, 1935, daughter of Mildred and Clayton Harrington in Burlington, VT.

Connie (as she liked to be called) worked at Champlain Cable Corporation for 27 years. Connie loved her daylong car rides with family, where she would sing along to classic country music. She spent many years enjoying her camper camping out in South Hero with her husband and family. She also loved to spend time with any or all of her family members. Connie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be missed by all.

She leaves her husband, Robert Hart, for which they were married for the past 46 years. She is also survived by daughters Sandra Mason, Penny Cote and husband Gary, and Robin Snelling and partner Mark Gibson, as well as her son, Rick Hammond. Connie had 5 siblings, Joyce Profusek, Patricia Mongeon, and predeceased were Mary Myott, Marilyn Fecteau, a brother Clayton Paradis, and her loving dog Susie. Connie was a proud grandmother to 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, as well as 3 great-great-grandchildren with whom she was very proud of and loved very much. Connie could always be seen rocking on her 3-season porch waving to those she knew as they honked their horns in her honor. Connie also became very fond of our mail carrier who always stopped to say “Hi, how are you today”? Connie had a special bond feeding our local chipmunk they called “Peetie”. Connie loved to play her handheld solitaire game and watch both the RFD Channel and “Wheel of Fortune”.

Per Connie’s wishes there will be no visiting hours.

On behalf of the wonderful nurses at UVM Medical Center “Home Health and Hospice” our family would like to whole heartedly thank each and every one who assisted in both the family's wellbeing as well as Connie’s end of life experience.

Memorial Contributions in Connie’s memory can be made to the UVM Home Health and Hospice Program. We valued their professionalism and wishes of our loved one.
