Lissa Edwards Robart, 69, of Fairfax, VT, passed away at home on January 8, 2022 with loving family at her side. Born on October 7, 1952, the daughter of George and Betty (Kennelly) Edwards, she lived in Chelsea, VT during her early years and attended school there, graduating in 1970. She attended the University of Vermont, graduating in 1974 with a degree in Art Education. She married Chet Robart and moved to Southern New Hampshire. She worked for Reynold’s Trailer Sales where she became interested in accounting and studied at the University of Southern New Hampshire receiving her MBA. She moved back to Vermont and started her own business, Business and Accounting Services in 1991. She began consulting with Contact Communications in 1993 and later became a partner in the business. She was an active member of the Vermont Tax Practitioners Association and served as president and held other offices.
She moved to Fairfax and married Robert Haskins. Lissa was an avid gardener. Her love for flowers was showcased in her beautiful yard and deck with colorful blooms and interesting combinations of plants. She was also an accomplished photographer. She shared many of her photos of Vermont landscapes and her flowers with friends on Facebook.
She was a beautiful person inside and out. She enjoyed outings with her friends and family which had been much curtailed these past 3 years. She still remained connected and always was a thoughtful gift giver. She leaves behind her husband, Bob; sisters, Nyra Whipple (Shannon) and Laurie Walker (Bob); nephews, Michael Whipple (Kris), David Whipple (Kaleigh) and Travis Walker (Hsulin); niece, Sarah Walker (Tony); grandnephew, Jackson and grandniece, Rosie; and her beloved dog, Leda. She will be interred at Highland Cemetery in Chelsea. A remembrance gathering will take place next year. If the spirit moves you, please donate to an animal charity of your choice in her memory.
