Obituary for Jean (Mathews) Foster
S. BURLINGTON - Jean Foster (Mathews), 83, passed away peacefully on May 5th, 2022. Her beloved, special, and brave son Bryan had just been by her side. She was born in Brockton, MA on January 7, 1939 daughter of the late Charles and Ruby Mathews. She was employed at the Foxboro Co., Foxboro MA; the Amherst Record, Amherst MA; and The University of Vermont, Burlington, VT.
She is survived by her daughter Suzanne Brisson and husband Tony, of Williston; her son Bryan Foster of So. Burlington; her granddaughter Kristy Dooley and husband Jason of So. Burlington, her grandson Mark Brisson and wife Jenna of Milton; her great granddaughters Makenna and Allie Dooley of So. Burlington; her brother James Mathews of Foxboro, MA; several cousins and some very special friends. She was predeceased by her parents and sister.
For many years she was an advocate for people with special needs.
