Floyd Walter Bohannon, 87, of Swanton, Vermont, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his loving family on April 7, 2022.
Floyd is survived by his daughter's, Kathy(Marlin) Morton, Susan Martin, Sally (Scott) Howard, Lisa (Bob) Root, Karen (Chad) Gazaille, Son, Floyd Bohannon Jr, step-daughter Sandra Williams, Sisters, Clairetta (Jake) Sartwell, Barbara Duprey, and many loving grandchildren, Jessika Packard, Josh Packard, Isaiah Robison, Keri Paquette, Shelby Dumont, Chelsea Dumont, Kayla Gazaille, Courtney Bohannon, Melissa Javed, Angela Connelly, Jennifer Fitzgerald, Mallory Bohannon, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Floyd was predeceased by his wife Joyce (Tatro) Bohannon, parents, Franklin and Anna Bohannon, Sisters, Catherine (Oscar) Pelkey, Eliza (Johnny) Hughes, Baby Sister, Leona Marie, Brother, Kenneth (Nancy) Bohannon and Brother-in-law David Duprey.
Floyd was a truck driver for many years at Swanton Lime Works. He loved driving truck and also loved fixing them. He had a love for working on cars and was an excellent mechanic. He loved watching old westerns. He loved cook outs and his favorite food was hot dogs cooked on the grill. He was a practical man and just enjoyed the simple things in life. He will be missed very much by his family and friends.
A special thanks to Jessica Jennings from Bayada Hospice for the outstanding care he received at his home. Services will be private with the immediate family.
