Obituary for Teresa Marie "GRAMS" Galipeau
Teresa Marie (GRAMS) Galipeau, 86 of Fairfax, VT, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 16, 2022 after a long illness.
Born in Hartford, CT, she was the widow of her late husband Norman J Galipeau, with whom they shared 52 years of marriage together. Former long-time resident of Ashford, CT where she raised her family and became a proud grandparent. She worked as a payroll clerk for the town of Ashford until she retired. She also loved volunteering at the Ashford Senior Center, and Conway Medical Center in South Carolina (where she resided for a brief period before settling in Fairfax, VT)
She leaves behind her three daughters, Susan Tangeri and her husband Richard, of Ashford CT; Donna Viel of Fairfax, VT and Sandra Poulin and her husband Michael of Abington, CT.
She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Jason Flaherty and his wife Jenn, Robert Viel and his wife Paige, Melissa Geyer, Michael Poulin Jr. and Sarah Tournas and her husband Dereck.
She had 10 great grandchildren (whom she enjoyed and always made her smile) along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents Albert Gallioux and Cecile (Gignac) Gallioux, her brother, Raymond Gallioux and her sister Rita Tromely.
Grams was loved by so many, and had a smile and laugh that was truly contagious. Our hearts are broken, but her spirit will forever live on.
A private memorial will be held by the family at a later date.
