Obituary for Coledon M. Greenwood

St. Albans, VT. - Coledon Greenwood, age 59, passed away on 3/13/2022 at the St. Albans Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in St. Albans, VT. Born on 12/17/1962 in Newport VT. To Lawrence and Barbara (Ashton) Greenwood.

Coledon enjoyed and accepted all people and considered everyone his friend. In his last 12 years of life, Coledon lived with his brother Shayne and wife Linda who was also Coledon’s caregiver. Coledon found joy and happiness spending time at camp, having cook outs, campfires, fishing off the dock and going for boat rides. Coledon found pleasure in the simple things in life, such as playing handheld games, doing word search puzzles, putting puzzles together, coloring, and sitting in a chair at camp watching the water. Coledon made an impression on all he met and will be missed deeply.

He leaves his mother Barbara of Berkshire, brother Rockland and wife Lorraine of Albany, sister Darlene and husband Cortland of Irasburg, sister Cheryl and husband Norman of Richford, sister Carolyn and husband Leonard of Richford, brother Shayne and wife Linda of St. Albans, predeceased by his father and brother.
Coledon leaves behind many nieces and nephews including his special nephew Travis and his significant other Samantha. Coledon idolized Travis, and enjoyed spending time with Travis and Samantha playing board games, Yahtzee, cards, fishing, sleepovers, watching movies, boating, and spending time with that Coledon truly treasured, his special niece Jennifer and husband Ron who brought him to events like the June Dairy Day parade, Pizza Putt, sleepovers and out for Cree-mees which he loved and looked forward to, and his special fishing buddies Khloe, Lukas, Quinn, and Maya. Coledon treasured the time spent with his nieces and nephews and would look forward to all the adventures he had with them.

A special thank you the nursing staff and caregivers at Bayada Hospice, and St. Albans Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center for their compassion, care, and friendship shown to Coledon. Thank you to his boating friends Jason and Ann for bringing Coledon out on their pontoon boat, you could see the happiness this brought Coledon by the smile on his face.

A special thank you to his guardian and friend Lori Williams who went above and beyond for Coledon in his final weeks, his roommate Teddy for sharing his love of music with Coledon, his friends Tommy, the Stanley Family and Ray.
