Leo Campagna passed away peacefully on February 3, 2022 in his home surrounded by family. He was born November 18, 1931 in Williston, VT to the late Emile and Emma (Lizotte) Campagna. Leo married Theresa (Blanchette) on April 26, 1952 at the Holy Family parish of Essex Junction, VT. Leo and Theresa were blessed with 69 years of marriage.
Leo was an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2946. He was also a member of the Vermont National Guard.
Leo is predeceased by his brothers Raymond and Henry. Leo is survived by his wife Theresa; sons Gary (wife Sue), Rick, Kevin (wife Lora); grandsons Corey (wife Erika), Colby, and Nick (wife Kaylee) and great grandchildren Hadley, Blake and Carson, his sister Beatrice Bergeron of Winooski; sister-in-law Mary (Blanchette) Milner and Harold Milner of Columbia, MO and brother-in-law Paul Blanchette of Portland, OR.
Leo was self-employed and had his own business, CAMPAGNA CONSTRUCTION, for 45 years. He was known to be a perfectionist and passed that skill set on to his three sons who worked with him and continue his legacy as master craftsmen. He developed and established many subdivisions in Essex Junction, Essex, Jericho and Williston, VT. Leo was also a realtor and owned an insulation business at one time. He was master craftsman and was very well known throughout Chittenden County.
Leo and Theresa had a camp on the shore of Lake Champlain and enjoyed many boating adventures traveling to Canada. They enjoyed traveling, so after selling their camp, they purchased a second home in Haines City, FL where they enjoyed the winter months for close to 20 years.
Leo was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Leo always enjoyed teasing and kidding around, which endeared him to those he shared his sense of humor with. He maintained that sense of -humor even as his health declined. Leo will be greatly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday February 10, 2022 at 11:00 am at Holy Family Church in Essex Junction with Reverend Charles Ranges, SSE officiating. Inurnment will be held on May 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the family lot in Holy Family Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded.
