Obituary for Adam Clifford Brassard

Adam Clifford Brassard passed away unexpectedly on December 23, 2021 at UVM Medical Center in Burlington, VT. He was born on March 18, 1978 at Central Vermont Medical in Berlin, VT. to William E. and Pamela A. Brassard.

He leaves behind his longtime partner, Stephanie Goodwin, their son and the light of his life, Oliver Brassard, his Stepsons, Harper and Keegan Goodwin, his parents, his brother Aaron Brassard and his wife Brenda Brassard, many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and an abundance of good friends.

Adam graduated from Spaulding High School in 1996. In the Fall of 1996 Adam attended the University of Vermont, earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, and graduated in the year 2000.

While attending college, Adam was employed by the Coca Cola Bottling Company as a part time Merchandiser. Following college Adam continued to work for Coca Cola and advanced to a Salesman position. Most recently he was employed by the United States Postal Service in Burlington, VT. and worked as a full time Clerk.

Adam enjoyed spending his free time at the Brassard Family Camp on Peacham Pond. He was relaxed and happy spending time with family and friends. He loved to fish and go hunting and camp allowed him to do both. As a fisherman he had a ยท "catch and release" philosophy, return them to the water, but not without taking a picture of the "big" ones. Every year, beginning on the second weekend in November, it is a long-standing tradition that male relatives and friends gather at Camp for deer season. Adam looked forward to this event each year. He was one of the only "hunters" that brought a gun until recently when his cousin Kris became a part of the tradition. Adam and Kris were the only two that would venture outside the camp and into the woods. As excited and focused as Adam was about getting a deer, he never bagged a buck.

Adam was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Bernard G. and Doris I. Brassard and his maternal grandparents, Everett "Pat" and Beatrice E. Clifford.

Adam will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held in his honor at a later date.
