Obituary for Montgomery Earl "Monty" Jarvis

Montgomery “Monty” Earl Jarvis, 64 years old passed away, on December 19, 2021, at his home in Saint Albans, surrounded by his beloved family. Monty was born in Windsor Vermont to Robert and Shirley Jarvis. He married his longtime best friend, soulmate, little chickadee on May 29, 1982. Theresa was the love of his life of 50 years. Monty Worked as a diesel mechanic for many years at Bonnettes welding, SB Collins, and then for himself at Monty’s Repair. He loved being in the garage playing in the grease. On January 4th, 1997, Monty was in a bad snowmobile accident which caused him to have to retire early. He had several hobbies from watching NASCAR racing, racing at Thunder Road, Catamount, Airborne in New York to going on cruises with his family and going to the casino. He also had a love for hunting and guns.
He leaves behind his spouse Theresa Jarvis, son Norman and daughter-in-law Sam Lockerby, Brian and daughter-in-law Annie Lockerby, daughter Bobbi Jo and son-in-law Justin Magnan. Brother Amos and sister-in-law Judy Jarvis, sister Sindy and brother-in-law Jr Vanguilder. Grandkids: Kelsie, Alex, Abbie, Ryan Garrett, Nate, Ashley, Taylor, Morgan Montgomery, Austin, Wyatt Earl, Montgomery Lei. Great grandkids: Callen, Lucas and Nik. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and cousins. As well as, like son Derek “whippie” Tetrault.

He is predeceased by his father and mother Robert And Shirley Jarvis, Stepmother Barbara Jarvis, brother Kevin Jarvis, nephew Gary Vanguilder, his special dog Buddy, both sets of grandparents and great grandparents.

The family would like to thank everyone at Bayada Hospice for the wonderful care provided.

Visiting hours will be held on January 3, 2022 at A W Rich Funeral Home - Fairfax Chapel from 11am to 1pm with a memorial service at 1 PM. Memorial contribution in Monty‘s memory may be made to the Humane Society in Saint Albans Vermont or Saint Judes cancer center for children.
