Obituary for Jeffrey John Burns
Shelburne Vermont – Jeffrey John Burns, age 63, passed away unexpectedly on December 4th at his home in Shelburne, Vermont. He was born in Colchester, Vermont on August 31, 1958, the son of Rita F. Burns of Essex Junction and the late Kenneth E. Burns. He graduated from Essex Junction High School in 1976 and completed his Associates Degree from Vermont Technical College.
Jeff was a man with many talents. He had a beautiful singing voice and early on was very involved with Lyric Theater. He also played the guitar and keyboard. He loved the Beatles and became an avid collector of Beatles Memorabilia. Jeff worked for many years at IBM in Essex Junction.
Jeff leaves his mother Rita Burns of Essex Junction, his sister Kathy (Carolin) and her husband John, of Colchester, and his brother Dan and his wife Suzanne, of Jericho, Vermont. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Jeff was predeceased by his brother, David, in 2012 and his brother Gary in 2018.
Per Jeff’s wishes there will be no visiting hours. Interment will be held in the Spring at the convenience of the family. The family invites you to share your memories and online condolences by visiting awrfh.com
