Obituary for John Edward Froment

John was born on March 19, 1953, in Bennington, VT, the son of Virginia A. Carter (Haynes) and the late John E. Froment of Miami, FL.

John graduated from Gateway Regional High School and attended Holyoke Community College before enlisting in the U.S. Navy. While in the Navy, John traveled the world and loved photographing each port of call. John worked for many years in Wilmington, VT and Sunrise, FL, as a counselor for autistic young adults, before moving back to Vermont where he worked for the Vermont Department of Employment and Training before retiring.

John was a talented artist and enjoyed drawing and photography. John also possessed an ear for music as well as love for it and enjoyed playing the piano or guitar. Always the life of the party, John always had a joyful spirit and loved a good joke.

John is survived by his mother, Virginia of Williston; his sister Andrea Tranghese and partner Neil Julien; his niece Kami Barhight and her husband Dan, his nephews Christopher Tranghese and Daniel Julien; and his great nephew Raylan Barhight.

He is predeceased by his father, John Froment and brother Gary (Fred) Froment.

A burial will be held at a later date at the Hoosick Rural Cemetery, in Hoosick, NY.
