Obituary for Katherine M. "Kitty" (Reynolds) Frink

Charlotte - Katherine M. “Kitty” (Reynolds) Frink, 68, passed away at her home on November 12, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 1, 1953 in Colchester daughter of Katherine (Steady) Reynolds and the late Raymond Reynolds. Kitty married Brian Frink on November 7th, 1981.

Kitty was a creative soul with a generous heart. If there ever were a person that fully embodied character, charisma and spirit, it was her. She had a light within her that was always present, even through the final, most trying days of her life. Kitty enjoyed learning and never shied away from a challenge, whether it be barrel racing on her beloved horse, putting her hand to the paper to create divine artwork and elegant writing, or simply perfecting a recipe in the kitchen. She excelled during her years in high school as well as when she went on to study at Champlain College, where she diligently worked to become a Paralegal. When she wasn’t taking college courses, she was putting her heart and soul into being a mother and wife.

Kitty was a social being and it was hard not to admire her ability to befriend anyone she met. She could strike up a conversation with a complete stranger with such ease. Anyone that knew her well knew that she never ran out of topics to discuss. Whether it be her favorite mystery shows, politics, a favorite song (as she lived for tasteful music), or simply how beautiful the night sky was at that moment. It also can’t be forgotten how talented, intuitive and full of wisdom she was. She was someone that you could always go to for advice, and despite what challenges she may have been facing herself, she wouldn’t give a second thought to helping in any way she could.

Katherine Frink was a strong woman with a pure heart and simply a person whose enthusiastic laugh, sense of humor, passion and wit could never compare to another. She will be missed beyond any measure and the world will not be the same without the light she carried with her.

Kitty is survived by her loving husband of 40 years Brian Frink of Charlotte; three daughters Heather Frink and Philip Bourque of Moriah, NY; Melissa Frink and Lisa LeBlanc of Hancock; Amanda Frink and Brett Applegate and their son Owen of Bristol; Her mother Katherine (Steady) Reynolds of Essex Jct; three brothers Raymond Reynolds and Life Partner Glendene Parent; Randy Reynolds and Carol Smith; Jonathan Reynolds all of Essex Junction; three sisters Holly Bryant of Essex Jct; Cindy Yandow of Essex Jct; Sheila Hammond of Granville; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and her loving, faithful companion Riley.

Kitty was also predeceased by her brother Timothy Reynolds and sister Lisa Reynolds.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at A W Rich Funeral Home – Essex Chapel. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Kitty’s memory to a charity of ones choice.
