Obituary for Mary Lawrence

Mary Lawrence, 61 died unexpectedly on September 18,2021 at UVM Medical Center in Burlington of a heart attack. Mary was born June 23,1960, daughter of George and Mary (Letourneau) Lawrence. She was born in Manchester Connecticut and moved to Grand Isle Vermont shortly after. Where she grew up and lived most of her life.

Mary was an avid trekkie and even passed her love of Star Trek onto her children. Along with her love of the Beatles. Mary was a loving mother that always did her best to provide for her family. And raised her children to be the decent human beings they are today. She was the glue that held her small family together. She truly loved spending time with family and friends. Especially her six grandchildren. As well as her beloved cats: Tyrian and Ned. She also had a good sense of humor and could make anyone laugh and smile. She had a big heart and was always willing to help in any way she could.

Mary leaves behind her children; Jennifer Nadeau, husband William of Fletcher, Adam Baker of Burlington, Danielle Baker of Burlington and Elizabeth Babcock, husband John of South Burlington. Mary also leaves four brothers; Richard (Dick),wife Arlene (Cookie) of Connecticut, Mike Lawrence of Grand Isle, Mark Lawrence, wife Vicki of Milton, Peter Lawrence of New York. And six grandchildren; Maggie, Eric, Charlie, William Jr., Molly, and Madison. Many nieces and nephews and sister-in-laws.

Mary is predeceased by her parents George and Mary Lawrence, six brothers and two sisters.

Mary will be deeply missed by many and cherished for she was the kind of person people felt grateful to have in their lives. The A.W. Rich Funeral Home will be providing the cremation services. At this time there will be no funeral services. They are being planned for a future date. If you would like to be included in any future services or celebration of her life. Please contact one of her children, we will be happy to share information on it when and if we have a date set.

The family request that any memorial contributions in Mary's memory be made to: The American Heart Association. The family also likes to thank all medical staff involved for their efforts. As well as the A.W. Rich Funeral Home. She will truly be missed and forever with us in our hearts.
