Obituary for Roger Gerald LeDuc

Roger Gerald LeDuc, 88, of Franklin, Vermont passed away on September 20, 2021, having just moved to Holly Ridge, North Carolina. He was born in Winooski, the youngest son of Edward and Gly (Wheat) LeDuc. After graduating from Winooski High School, class of 1952, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp and did duty in Korea. Upon discharge, he continued in the Vermont Army Guard and retired from the U.S. Air Force, Green Mountain Boys on January 3, 1993.

On January 28, 1956 he married the love of his life, Jeannette (Provost) LeDuc, celebrating 65 years of marriage on January 28, 2021.

He was employed during this life time with GE, Gulf Oil, Hood Milk and finally formed his tile setting business (ABC Tile). When his son came of age, he was able to work along side him together for a number of years, fulfilling his wishes to retire and enjoy the fruits of his labor.

Roger leaves behind his beloved wife Jeannette (Provost) LeDuc of Holly Ridge, North Carolina, his daughter Renee (LeDuc) Matthieu of Vermont, his son Mathew LeDuc and wife Carrie (Wilcox) of Holly Ridge, North Carolina and her children Nathan Wilcox, of Colorado, Evan Wilcox and partner Caroline Bone of Clayton, NC, Eric Wilcox and fiancé Cassondra Ingle of New Mexico and Jonathan Wilcox of St. Albans, Vermont. Granddaughters Amanda Kinniburgh of Vermont, Caytlyn Langelier and husband Jake of Fairfax and their 3 children Olyvia Grace Francis, Able and Anthony Langelier. His grandson Garrett LeDuc and fiancé Joshlynn Fitzpatrick of Colchester, Vermont. A brother William “Billy” and wife Betty Keefe of Vermont. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law Leola & Austin Germain, brothers and sisters-in-law Clifford & Shirely LeDuc and Donald & Audrey LeDuc.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Franklin County Rehab and the countless family members, friends and neighbors who have reached out to us in our time of need with love and support.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday September 30, 2021 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at A. W. Rich Funeral Home – Essex Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on October 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church – Underhill Center. Burial will follow in the family lot in St. Thomas Cemetery, Underhill Center. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
