Obituary for John Pierre Morin

John Pierre Morin, 71, passed away on March 25, 2021 at the UVM Medical Center in Burlington, Vt. He was born on Sep 28, 1949 in Coaticook, Quebec to the late Pierre “Peter” and Jeanne Morin.

John was proud to have served in the US Army as a Communication Specialist from 1967-1973. He was married to Paulette Appolonia (Morin) mother of Jason and Nathan, from 1969-1979. In 2003 he married Barbara Gadhue whom he had met in 1981. John had been employed in the fire protection business for over 40 years. He loved working outside in the yard, playing with his toys (truck, sports car, boat, 4 wheelers), watching the Red Sox and the Pittsburgh Steelers, and enjoying helping others and sharing his knowledge whenever he could.

He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Gadhue; two sons Jason and Nathan, his siblings, Bernard, Andrew, Maurice, Michael, Pierrette, Claudette, Michelene, four grandchildren Adrianna, John, Rachel, Hannah, a great grandchild Keyondre, the mother of his children Paulette and his dogs Maxx and Riley.

Per John’s wishes there will be no visiting hours held. There will be a graveside service for John at 1:00pm on Friday, 5/28, at Resurrection Park Cemetery, 200 Hinesburg Rd, South Burlington, VT 05403.
Immediately following the service (approximately 2:30pm), we will have a Celebration of Life gathering for family and friends, graciously hosted by Jeff Pecor in Colchester. It's an indoor/outdoor space. The address is: 2808 Middle Rd, Colchester VT 05446.
