Obituary for Mary Ellen Trayah

Georgia - Mary Ellen Trayah, 69, passed away at McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester. She was born in St. Albans on April 6, 1951 daughter of the late Lawrence and Dorothy (Adams) Trayah.

Mary was a licensed nursing assistance who was dedicated and loving caregiver for family members and the community having been employed for many years with Franklin County Home Health. She was also employed for many years with Vermont Toy Farm and Vegimals. She looked forward to her Saturday night pot luck card games, she enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting and was a Red Sox fan. Mary was a member of Georgia United Methodist Church. She loved her pets dearly and will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Mary is survived by her feline companion Rusty, nephew Steven Trayah (Mandy); niece Annette Trayah-Aines (Jody); 6 great nieces and nephews, 4 great-great nieces and nephews, several cousins, her special friends Nina, Lori & Genevieve, her church family and her lovingly “adopted” family at the McClure Miller Respite House who we thank from the bottom of our hearts for the loving care and attention afforded Rusty & Mary during her stay.

She was predeceased by her brother Steven R. Trayah.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 11:00am in the family lot in Georgia Plains Cemetery.
