Obituary for Connie (Bohannon) Commo

Connie M. (Bohannon) Commo of Swanton, VT passed away on January 23, 2021 at the UVM Medical Center after a long battle of multiple health problems. She was born in St. Albans VT on August 31 1954 to the late Nancy and Kenneth Bohannon.

Connie loved spending time with her family and friends. She collected many items over her years but her Cookie Jars, Unicorn figurines and her windchimes were her favorite. She enjoyed sitting outside and listening to the birds or going for a nice car ride to enjoy the scenery.

Connie is survived by her husband Bradley Commo of 21 years, her two sons; Jesse Gabree and Edmund Gabree Jr and her stepdaughter Ushi Kimble along with many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

She also leaves behind her brother Ken Bohannon and his fiancés of Highgate VT, sister Wanda Duchaine and her husband of Alburgh VT, her sister Linda Wells of Berkshire VT, Brother-in-law Allen Commo of Champlain NY, Sister-in-law Christine Benjamin and husband of Swanton VT, Sister-in-law Jane Thompson and husband of Alburgh VT, sister-in law Cathy Commo and partner of Enosburg VT. Along with Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many nieces and nephews.

Over the last two years Connie was able to be mostly cared for at home with the help of her caregiver and longtime friend Jessie Poissant who at times was assisted by Connie’s niece Danielle Duchaine. Connie’s neighbors and longtime friends Diane and Terry Bard along with Debbie and Joe Allen were also there to lift her spirits or help when needed.

At this time there will be no services held.
