My husband Rick and I got to know Ron when he would sing karaoke at St. John’s Club. He was a lovely man with a beautiful voice. We would sometimes run into him when he volunteered at the hospital or around town, always a smile and a hug. Rest In Peace.

I met Ron at McAuley Square when my mother lived there. He was always full of fun and life. After she died I continued as a volunteer there, helping people with odd jobs. Ron and I would go to lunch from time to time, usually to Athens Diner where he could get liver and onions, one of his favorites. We kept in contact after he moved from there and we talked on the phone every week or two during this COVID pandemic. He was always concerned with how I and my family were doing. It was my pleasure and privilege to have known him. I hope there is a jazz festiva, something he loved, where he is now.

Ron was a wonderful friend of our family and was invited to most of our family gatherings. He spent many Thanksgivings with us and always had a way of making us smile or laugh. My only complaint was his constant " jabbering " about the Red Sox. We will miss you Ron.
