Obituary for Shawn Marcoux

Shawn Marcoux, 34, passed away in Essex on February 13, 2020. He was born in Burlington on May 11, 1985 son of Pierre and Lenore (Mathieu) Marcoux.

Shawn is survived by his son Carter Marcoux, daughter Brooke Marcoux, his parents Pierre and Lenore Marcoux, a brother Jeremy Marcoux, a sister Kimberly Marcoux, his grandmothers Monique Marcoux and Lorraine Mathieu, niece Kaylen Marcoux, his best friend and mother of his children Caryl Jaques and his two step sons Hunter and Riley Smith as well as many, many cousins, uncles and aunts.

He was also predeceased by his grandfathers Rene Marcoux and Robert Mathieu.

Shawn LOVED his two wonderful children Carter Bear & Brookie Doddle, who were easily the best part of his life. It saddened him that he could not be in their lives more but the time he did spend with them was precious. They wanted you all to know all the things he enjoyed like driving motorcycles, playing tricks on people and was always the first one to tease. He liked his subs at Martones, vanilla milk shakes, burgers at Five Guys, BBQ, mayonnaise and Dr Pepper. He had fantastic dance moves and always connected to music, and never wasn't signing at the top of his lungs in the shower. He loved wearing jewelry and camo, the Colts, an Audi R7S and lacrosse. Shawn always had a huge heart for babies and animals, especially his Great Dane Sadie girl, and he always brought strays home to his mother.

Shawn had a heart of gold, the most contagious smile that always lit up a room and could make anyone laugh with his charming and witty behavior. He will always be in our hearts and would want to be remembered as a loving friend, husband, son and dad..

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Shawn to his children's trust fund - please send check's to Pierre & Lenore Marcoux (3 Chelsea Road Essex, Jct., VT 05452-2618).
