Obituary for Carol Ann Bishard (Pine)

Carol Ann (Pine) Bishard, of Burlington, Vermont and Waldport, Oregon, passed away in the late hours of September 1, 2019, at the McClure Miller respite House in Colchester, Vermont, after her year-long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Carol was born on September 18, 1934, to Walter and Marion Pine of New Jersey. Carol also lived in Georgia, Iowa, Ohio, California, Oregon, and Vermont. She was married to Jack Thomas Hunn, with whom she had four children. She also married David Nuse and the late Bruce Bishard. Carol and Bruce loved to travel and especially loved their dogs, including their King Charles Cavalier spaniels. Carol was one of the founding members of Oregon coast therapy animals, with her cavalier Bonnie. Carol also loved to cook, garden, sew, paint, travel, entertain and be entertained.

Carol leaves behind her son, Stephen Douglas Hunn and his wife Cindy, daughter, Patricia Lynn Smith and her husband Mike, and daughter Elizabeth Ann Beaulieu and her husband Jonathan. She also leaves behind her sister Nancy Blaizer and her husband Steve. Carol had 3 stepchildren with Bruce - Jeff, Donna and Peggy, as well as a total of 16 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 2 great - great grandchildren. She also had nieces and nephews and their children and many friends. Unfortunately they were spread out across the country and Carol was not able to see them all.

Carol was predeceased by her parents Walter and Marion, her husband Bruce and her son Thomas Michael.

A small memorial will be held during the second Sunday service at the First Congregational Church of Essex, in Essex Junction, Vermont, on September 22, 2019.
