Obituary for Jessica Lynne Patry

Jessica died suddenly in her sleep on the 8th of August, just short of her 50th birthday, in the comfort of her own home.

Jess was a sensitive and kind hearted woman full of love for her family and friends, she kept a close circle. Being the first-born cousin in a large clan was something she cherished, she loved all her grandparents, parents, cousins, siblings and nieces. She had a special bond with her two nieces, Allison and Rebecca, from the moment they were born.

She was fiercely protective of us all, being sure to give her "highly informed" directions in all situations pertaining to anything... (thank you, Gramma Patry). In particular circumstances she would give you such a stink eye but if you needed it; give you the shirt off her back. She was a terrible driver, scary and full of (mostly) appropriate, road rage. She loved making/restoring jewelry and antiques using her artistic eye. Finding many projects at yard sales with her mom and sister was one of her favorite pass times. She loved music, especially Erica Badu, Queen/ ABBA, B-52s, Santana, Enya, along with listening to sounds of rain falling.. She always had something playing. She loved gardening, keeping a large garden was always something she strived for every year. She also found joy in cooking and baking, always finding new recipes and experimenting and sharing with her family.

The last 10 years of her life were the happiest while sharing a home with Bess, Chris and the girls. She is missed deeply and thought of often.

A remembrance of Jessica will be held at her home. Saturday, August 31st from 11-4, 4775 VT Route 36, Fairfield VT 05455. All who loved Jess and want to come, please know you are welcome.
