I just found out that Hugh died. I send love and hugs to all. I was a student of his at Edmunds Jr High School when I was in 7th grade (almost 50 years ago) and babysat for the two boys back then. We have been exchanging Christmas cards ever since, with visits when possible. I did not send a Christmas card last year and this year it was returned to me. I am so sorry to hearing of the passing of Hugh. I am a graduate of Burlington High School class of 1980 and he was one of my favorite teachers. Additionally I worked in the baggage room at Vermont Transit. He was a man who cared deeply for his students and who was always very supportive. RIP

I was shocked and so sad to hear of Hugh's passing. I taught with him for years at BHS. He was a caring teacher, a supportive colleague and a great person. I always enjoyed our social conversations and the collaborative work we did for our students. I extend my thoughts and prayers to his family.

I am very sorry to learn of Hugh’s death. I taught with him at Burlington High School and often shared a ride to work with him from Essex Jct. He was a good person and I know he will be missed.

So saddened to hear of Herb's passing. He was a good man!

I taught with Hugh in the History Department at Burlington High School--he joined very shortly after me and frequently reminded me of the fact. A very likeable person, well liked by peers and students. I am sure his family will miss him--I am sorry for your loss.
