Condolence: I just found out that Hugh died. I send love and hugs to all. I was a student of his at Edmunds Jr High School when I was in 7th grade (almost 50 years ago) and babysat for the two boys back then. We have been exchanging Christmas cards ever since, with visits when possible. I did not send a Christmas card last year and this year it was returned to me. Condolence: I am so sorry to hearing of the passing of Hugh. I am a graduate of Burlington High School class of 1980 and he was one of my favorite teachers. Although the pain is great now, the Bible points us to a future time, when God will destroy death and it’s stings. “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:4) Death will be so far removed from mankind that it will not even be called to mind. As for those now sleeping in death, they will be brought back to life, and have the prospect of living forever in paradise on earth. (John 5:28,29)

Condolence: Hugh and I were fellow teachers who loved bus driving! We worked together at Vermont Transit in the late seventies when Hugh was teaching at Burlington HS and I was teaching at Essex HS. For the past ten plus years, we drove together in our mutual retirement (?) for Premier Coach. It was always a pleasure to work with Hugh and I will certainly miss him. Something that brings comfort to me is found at John 5:28, 29, and Revelation 21:4. In these verses, it highlights that God is going to bring about a resurrection of our dear loved ones, and he will remove all causes for suffering, including death. May that beautiful hope bring comfort to your family during this difficult time.
