Condolence From: Donna Macdonald
Condolence: I am sorry I am just learning of this now. I worked with George for many years until he got done from IBM. A couple would go out on our days off to socialize and listen to his beloved Jazz. After he would stop by often to tell me of his adventures....near and far. He was a great hunter and a great outdoorsman and had great pictures to share. He became quite the artist as well. It was amazing what he could make and paint. I have one of his "whirley gigs" on my deck. He also became quite interested in local history doing much of his research and photo copying at the South Hero town office. He was quite proud of his family and spoke of you from time to time. He had me stop and see the shop you had on one of my visits to the Carolinas...this was some time ago. I know you had wanted him to move south near you but he was a very proud, independent man and just love Vermont. Around the time of George's passing I said to our friend Larry that I had a dream about him and he was standing up straight and tall and smiling...a little eerie. I am sure he is happy and is playing Jazz for all those angels up there. Please accept my condolences..it is never easy losing a loved one. Donna from North Hero,VT

Condolence From: Jane & Stuart Bird
Condolence: We were so sad to have learned of our dear friend George’s unexpected passing. George used to stop by the workshop and talk deer among other things with Stu during deer season especially. He and I would talk music and desserts and just life in general on many occasions. He was smart, funny and great conversationalist. He made us a beautiful hand carved reindeer that I treasure and put out every holiday and this year will be (is) more special albeit, bittersweet. We loved your brother and will miss his presence in our lives we just wanted you to know how special he was to us. Our deepest sympathies and prayers go out to you. Blessings, Stuart and Jane Bird in Grand Isle, Vt

Condolence: I am so saddened to hear of George's passing...he was such a good person. We became friends during our real estate years and throughout the years stayed in touch via email...I always loved the various subjects of his messages. My last memory of George was his difficult struggle to make it up a steep flight of stairs at Five Corners Antiques because he had heard I was there and he just wanted to visit. We sat and talked for awhile and talked about having lunch some day ... some day never came - sure wish it had. RIP my dear friend ... you were such a kind gentle soul that I'll always remember.
