Hazel Dunkling (Northrup)
Essex Junction - Hazel (Northrup) Dunkling, 83, passed away on Tuesday August 14, 2018 at her home in Essex Junction. She was born in Colchester on September 8, 1934 daughter of the late Carrie (Raymond) and Walter F. Northrup. She attended local schools and graduated from Cathedral High School Class of 1953. She married Reginald Dunkling on December 12, 1953 and owned and operated Ray’s Seafood for over 60 years.
Hazel is survived by the her son Paul Dunkling and wife Sheryl, her four daughters Janice Clark and husband Morris, Deborah Addis and husband Keith, Karen Fortin and husband Maurice and Mary Pike and companion Pat Bedell, sister Joan Roberts, a brother Robert Dorey and wife Anna, sisters-in-law Lu-Ellen May Dunkling, Betty Northrup, 13 grandchildren, Mathieu & Kat, Carrie & James, Heather, Allen & Tara, Larry & Ingrid, Robbie & Beth, Brian & Jamie and Adam, Israel & Dawn, Lynn & Burk, Kelly & Chris, Jessica & Kurt and Keith and 30 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also predeceased by her husband Reginald P. Dunkling, 6 siblings Alice, Marilyn, Carol, Walter, Francis and Edward.
Visiting hours will be held on Wed. August 15, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at A W Rich Funeral Home – Essex Chapel. A graveside committal service will be held on Thurs. August 16, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. in the family lot in Fort Ethan Allen Cemetery, Colchester.
