Condolences

Condolence From: Nancy McClellan
Condolence: Kristen and family, I was so sorry to read in the Colchester paper about your Dad. He was a wonderful and compassionate man and provided a valuable presence in Malletts Bay. He was so well-liked and respected. It has been awhile since we worked together at UVMMC, but I hope you are doing well. I hope the love and support of your family and friends will sustain you in the coming months. It also seems you have the gift of new life, a new niece, to give you comfort. thinking of you, Nancy

Condolence: I don’t know if Gary ever mentioned me but we were childhood friends. We built a clubhouse across the street from Gary’s house. We would sleep under the stars and talk and giggle all night. We moved that clubhouse on logs to my parents property. We formed a club and called ourself the Radars. I use to pick up Gary each morning for school along with the other club members. I have such fond memories of all of us growing up on woodland road in Shelby. Gary was forever carving his initials in all the trees and anything else his pen knife could find. I often talk about those days to my friends. You have my condolences Susan,Kristen and Dustin. Iam so saddened to have read his obituary in our local paper. It also put a smile on my face no public visiting. Typical GARY. May God Bless Gary and family.

Condolence: I was so saddened to see that Dr. Page died. He was the doctor to all my cats, Emily, Midnight and Sterling. He also took gentle care of my mother's (Kay Murphy) cat Mocha. He was also the vet for my daughter's (Kaydell) cats, Lily and Blue. He was always so gentle and his humor brought a smile to my face many times. One of the times I still remember and recount to people is when he told me that Sterling needed to loose weight, I said, "But Dr. Page look at how big boned he is, large feet and legs and the size of his face! People have their weight based on bone structure, how about the same with cats?" He said, " Oh SURE Carole, Sterling is big boned and he should weigh 20 pounds!" Needless to day we both laughed. The practice he founded MBVH still is the place I bring my cat Sterling and my daughter brings her new kitty Bleu. Sadly Emily, Midnight, Mocha, Lily and Blue all died. He loved my cat Midnight almost as much as we did, as he knew him from a kitten until Dr. Page tenderly eased him to his final sleep at 14 yrs old. I missed him as our Vet when he retired, but I am so happy his legacy continues. May you all find comfort in the tender memories you share of this wonderful man. We will all miss him. Condolence: To the Page family - we are so sorry for your loss. We remember Gary very well from the times we spent watching our son Randy and DJ playing youth hockey together on the Burlington Bobcats. We believe that there is a special place in heaven for those who help and are so kind to animals.

Condolence: I am so sorry for your loss, Dustin and family. I will forever be grateful to your dad, who saved my beloved beagle, Missy, after she was hit by a car when she was about a year old. Dr. Page had just opened his practice in Malletts Bay, and Missy was one of his first patients. He worked miracles on her badly broken body, and he became my hero. Missy continued as his patient until her passing nearly 16 years later. Even though I moved to Milton years later, I continued bringing my animals to Malletts Bay Veterinary Hospital because of the great care he gave Missy, and I still bring them there to this day. RIP Gary. Your great care over the years is greatly appreciated.

Condolence: We will miss Gary so much. Many years ago he was a neighbor who became our vet. It was always great to visit the pet clinic. He laughed at my lame jokes and took good care of our pets. He was an amiable man, proud of his family and committed to his profession. We're so sorry for your loss. Kathy and Bruce Towne
