Wallace Harry Longe
Wallace Harry “Wally” Longe, Sr., 86,of Jeffersonville passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday December 19, 2017 at The Manor in Morrisville. He was born on August 26, 1931 in Berkshire son of the late Lewis and Alice (Beakes) Longe. Wally was proud to have served our country during the Korean War with the U.S. Army.
Wally is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Verna Longe; three sons, Wallace "Sam" Longe Jr., his wife Michele, and their daughter Jacklyn, Karl "Jay" Longe and his sons Josh and Kasey and his wife Stephanie, and their mother Kim Longe, James Longe and his wife Xenia and their daughter Katia, his daughter Elizabeth "Liddy" Bourne, her Husband Michael and their two daughters Dana and Abby, three great-grand children; Hazel, Oliver and Gilbert and their mother Shari Gilbert, three sisters; Virginia Wheelock, Betty Corrow and husband Bill, and Eleanor Hammond and his sister-in-law Blossom "Peachy" Longe and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Wally was also predeceased by five brothers; Raymond, Garland, Douglas, Daniel, Lynwood and his sister Irene.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday December 28, 2017 at A W Rich Funeral Home – Fairfax Chapel from noon until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Full military honors will be accorded this Korean War veteran. Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
