I grew up sitting on a little wooden box across the counter from Myrna. A favorite memory: bringing back bottles and cans to buying penny candy! Then eating it while my parents talked to Myrna and Hugh for what seemed like hours and hours and hours... Many years later, when I got married on Old Home Day, I paraded all of my wedding guests through The Store so Myrna could be a part of the wedding too. The out-of-town guests were pretty impressed with downtown Belvidere! Myrna, you were a part of so many special days and ordinary days. You'll always be remembered as a special friend, role model, and the heart of Belvidere. Such a big, warm heart.
