Condolence: Tonya and family, I just want you to know what a wonderful, caring, compassionate and respectful young son you have. Hailey, along with our entire family, so enjoyed when Spencer came to our house. We will miss that smiling face dearly. I would love to add to your memory book at your convenience as I did not get a chance to before I had to leave. My thoughts are with you at this very difficult time.

Condolence: Spencer was a wonderful, positive and supportive member of our CCV Intro to Political Science class this past fall. His love of history was evident. He was outwardly excited about his ambition to become a social studies teacher. Spencer often arrived early, sharing stories of Oklahoma, bowling alleys, and his job at Jolley's. (The Jolley's stories were particularly funny.) He respected his classmates and earned their respect. He was proud of his Native American heritage as, I am sure, you were proud of him. Wishing your family peace at this very difficult time.

Condolence From: Linda Gustafson
Condolence: Spencer has been a shining light in my history classes at CCV. His love of history is felt not only by me but by the other students in the room as well. As the teacher, I also learned much from Spencer. We talked often about his wanting to become a history teacher and where he might want to go to college to fulfill his dream. The children of future classrooms will face a loss with Spencer not being able to fulfill that dream of becoming the most caring and knowledgeable history teacher I know he would have been. I shall miss such a bright light and caring, wonderful, friendly, and intelligent young man. His seat remains empty now as we all remember his smile and wonderful commentary that he shared each week. I shall always remember Spencer's smile, joy, and inquisitiveness on our Washington trip where we were steeped in history. He loved every minute of it and absorbed so much of America's history in the week we were there. The memories of his enjoyment will live in Mr. G's and my heart forever. Rest in peace Spencer, and shine your history enthusiasm from above. Love, Ms. G

Condolence: I am so saddened to hear of Spencer's passing. Spencer touched the hearts of so many during his three years he attended the Albert D. Lawton School. I taught Spencer in 6th grade and really got to know this beautiful compassionate and loving boy.I also had the pleasure of coaching him in sports. My wife and I chaperoned Spencer for a week as he toured Washington, D.C. with many of his 8th grade classmates. Spencer loved Washington and learning about his nation's history. It does not surprise me to know he wanted to be a History teacher someday. I know that Ms. G will be writing her thoughts separately from me as she has been his college professor this past year. God bless your family. I hope the memories of Spencer will sustain you all. Love you Spencer Peter Gustafson (Mr. G) My heart aches thinking of the world without Spencer in it and hope that the many memories of his short life with sustain your family over time.
