Condolence From: Shelby King
Condolence: Nearly all of my memories of Great Uncle Delmar were from the many family gatherings the King Family had at the various King Family Farms when I was a young boy; with the exception of a recent gathering organized by Great Uncle Bernard a couple summers ago. Delmar was a tower of a man! Delmar, like his brother (my grandfather Neil) and his siblings, my Dad and all my King Family Aunts and Uncles all taught us valuable lessons about life with no-nonsense talk. They all extol the virtues of working, being honest, lending a hand to anyone in need, and enjoying the great outdoors of VT. What a blessing to have such great leadership passed on through the generations! I'll always tip my hat when I pass your farm. Great Respect, Great Uncle. King Proud.

Condolence: So sorry to hear of Delmar’s passing. Such a sincere and gentle man, with a joke that would lighten any mood. I have many memories of him both personal, and business, in all of them seeing him smiling. I remember his funny stories about Metcalf Pond especially.
He always brought a smile to my face just seeing his smile. He will be missed by many, but he and Madeline are now together again.
Such a blessing to have enjoyed time with him. RIP Delmar until we meet again!

Condolence: I didn't know Delmar, but reading his obituary in the same paper as my own father's, who was a mere 91 to Delmar's 97, it struck me how much they had in common--love of family, the outdoors and the land, hunting, fishing, ice fishing. I wish you all the same comfort we are finding in many happy memories.

Condolence: I have many fond memories of visiting Uncle Delmar and Aunt Madeline when I was young. Dad would take us out for a Sunday drive and we would often go through Fletcher and Cambridge and stop in at the farm. I am thinking of all of you today.
