Condolence: My memories of Shirley go way back to when we were young kids - through school and church. On Saturday mornings, my dad would drive us into Jeff and drop us off at Pouliot's store and he would go on to work. From there, the Pouliot kids and us (maybe others) would walk to Cambridge, through the footpath of the double-lane covered bridge, and to St. Mary's for our catechism class. I don't remember walking back to Jeff, but we might have. My family moved to Montgomery Center when I was in 5th grade so we didn't have a lot of communication after that, but I never forgot Shirley and the Pouliots and their store. I have lived in Oklahoma since 1973, and have made many trips back home to visit family. Jeffersonville holds many memories for me and when we pass through there, I always take a trip down memory lane. Shirley and I talked on the phone one time that I remember - probably 7 or 8 years ago - and hoped we could get together at some point. I was sad to see her obituary in the County Courier. I see that she has always been active at St. Mary's as I have been at 2 Catholic Churches here. My deepest sympathy to all her family. I enjoyed looking at the pictures.

Condolence: Gary & Family, my sympathy goes out to you and your family. My wife Maryann knew your wife/mother well. Not sure how they knew each other, except I know they were the same age. Maryann never had a bad word to say about her and I am sure you all will have many fond memories of her. It has been almost 8 years since my wife passed. away and I still find myself thinking of her as she is right here with me. May God be with you all at this sad time.
