Barbara “Barb” Catherine (Moon) (Turner) Carroll formerly of West Palm Beach, Florida and Milton, Vermont passed away peacefully in the Respite House, in Colchester, VT on 12-17-17; she was 85 years old.

Barbara was born on November 28, 1932 in Montgomery, Alabama. Daughter of Beatrice (Lind) Moon, and Colonel Ernest Starkey Moon. Bearing into a military family, Barb grew up living all over the world, instilling in her a thirst for knowledge that stayed with her all throughout her life. Barb graduated from Newcomb College in 1955. While attending Newcomb, Barb met and fell in love with William Henry “Nick” Turner. They were married on January 20, 1958. Together, they had two daughters; Catherine M. Turner and Margaret “Margi” H. Turner. Nick passed away from cancer on November 20, 1967. Five years later, Barb married Thomas “Tom” P. Carroll and were together for twenty four years until Tom passed. Barb was a librarian for many years, along with a real estate agent, field officer for the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser's Office, and at 60, she went back to school for Medical Coding. Barb Loved her family, she loved to garden, host parties, read books, sew, make crafts, and eat dark chocolate.
Her quest for learning lasted up until her last days. We will miss her astute advice, her sense of humor, and her love.
