Obituary for
Estella Jean McClellan (Chamberlain)
Estella Jean Chamberlain McClellan, 71, of Richmond, passed away September 24, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at the Respite House of Vermont.
She was born February 25, 1946 to the late Fred and Elizabeth (Blow) Chamberlain. Estella graduated from Essex Junction High School in 1963 and went on to work at the Vermont State Hospital, Medical Center, Baird Children’s Center, IBM and most recently as a caregiver for Home Instead for Senior Care.
On March 12, 1965 Estella married Douglas McClellan Sr. and went on to have four children and six grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Many times, we are lucky to have one good friend to walk beside us through all the stages of our lives. Estella was truly blessed to count Dawna, Barb and Marilyn as such friends. She also took great comfort in the companionship of her beloved pugs; Sammy, Baxter, Brutus and Daisy.
She is survived by her daughter Stacey McClellan (Sean), son Douglas McClellan Jr. (Kimberlee), Grandchildren Mark, Kyle, Alexis, Emilee, Anya and Isabelle, brothers Fred Chamberlain (Priscilla), Roger Chamberlain (Lois) and Robert Chamberlain (Patricia), Aunt Barbara Bernard and many special nieces and nephews.
Estella was predeceased by her parents, husband Douglas McClellan Sr., daughters Shari and Betty McClellan, brother Bart Chamberlain (Barbara)
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on September 30, 2017 in the Underhill Cemetery. Per her wishes Douglas Sr. and Betty will be laid to rest at the same time. There will be no calling hours.
