Obituary for Dorothy Jane Gawor (Peck)

Dorothy Jane (Peck) Gawor, passed away on September 18, 2017 Essex Junction, Vermont.
She was born December 4, 1933 to Gordon and Harriet (Roof) Peck in Buffalo, NY

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother with a silly sense of humor who was always there for activities and special events for her family such as swim meets & competitions, baseball games, dance recitals, Circus Smirkus shows (she was known as “Smirko Gramma”), rugby matches and graduations. She loved walking on the beach collecting seashells and celebrating Christmas and holidays with her granddaughters.

She leaves behind: Stefan Gawor, loving husband of over 62 years; son Gary, his wife Kim and granddaughter Maelin; Granddaughter Maia (Deborah); a brother Richard Peck along with several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by her daughter Deborah.

The family would like to thank the staff at Mansfield Place for ongoing care and support since moving to Vermont in 2015 as well as many people at UVM Medical Center.

She will eventually be inurned at Elmlawn Cemetery, Kenmore, NY. No services are planned at this time.
