Memories of your Dad!!

Alix, I'll never forget the first time I met your dad. He was visiting Vermont and decided to surprise you at the office. He wanted to meet your 'office family' and was hoping to join you for a home visit. He was so immensely proud of you and shared that with folks he met in the waiting room. The next time I saw him was at your wedding when he walked his beautiful daughter down the aisle. It was a wonderful evening and he clearly was thrilled to see the blending of the NY & VT family. Jim became his beloved 'son-in-law" and the two had an amazing friendship. The added bonus was becoming 'Papa Smurf' to Devin and Moriah. Your dad was delighted when Emma was born and he obviously adored her. When he moved to VT it gave him the opportunity to spend much more time with Emma as he found her very entertaining. He especially appreciated how much she reminded him of you, and in so many ways!!

Alix, thank you so much for sharing your dad with us. It was a privilege to know him
