Obituary for Viola Marie Stritzler (Lundgren)

On May 25 Viola Marie Stritzler passed away peacefully after a courageous 18 month fight with ovarian cancer. She loved to say “I am one tough Swede”.

Viola was born in Tacoma Washington on March 8, 1939. Her parents were Sigurd and Anna Lundgren. Viola leaves her loving husband William Stritzler, Brother Fred Lundgren, Son Mark Stritzler and Daughter Lisa Howe. Viola dearly loved her Grand Children, Nathan and Jena Stritzler and Lauren and Claire and Matthew Howe. Viola was blessed with wonderful Sister in law Gina Glantz and her family. Special in her heart was her son in law David Howe.

Viola knew for eighteen months that she would not recover from her disease and when asked what she would miss most she said “my cats” . Viola loved all animals but especially Tinkerbell, Misty and Taffy.

Viola had many friends but special in her heart are friends of almost 60 years Tom and Marclay Davis.

Respecting Viola’s wishes there will be no services. On June 11th at 3:30 friends and family are invited to gather in the Meeting House at Smugglers’ Notch Resort to hear and tell Viola stories. We also invite you to share your memories by visiting www.awrfh.com.
