George Whitesell

I met Skip in 1967 in Poughkeepsie, NY and we became fast friends. I think our sense of humor was equal to our music in bringing us together. We did play in a band together in 1969. After I moved to Colorado in 1972 I lost contact with him as well as many others. Our world has changed immensely since then. Thanks to Facebook I was able to reconnect with Skip as well as many old friends. But Skip and I shared more than the casual Facebook friendship and would often have long phone conversations. And THAT was because of our shared sense of humor. It was definitely a little skewered. I will always remember him fondly. I work as a professional mall Santa during the Christmas season and will miss the many Santa comics Skip would send me every season. One more final message that only Skip and the others riding in the car that night in Poughkeepsie would understand; Buk, Buk, Bagok! RIP my friend😜
