It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather on April 6, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
Frank was born on July 20th, 1940 in Burlington VT. The son of Joseph and Blanche (Chamberlain) Provost. On June 2nd 1962 Frank married the love of his life, Laura Jimmo in Shelburne VT, together they had six children. Frank was educated in the Burlington school system and worked for 29 years for the city of Burlington but his greatest pleasure was spending time with his family and playing in a band with his two sons and his daughter in law as well as many other musicians over the years.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, his five children and their families, Frank Jr. (Kim) and their kids Emily, Audrey, Brenden and Ian. Ellen and her son Treh (Chelsea), Julie (Louis) and their kids Brad and Eleanor, Kathy (Mark) and their two daughters Kari (Paul) and Tari (James), Joe Sr (Lee) and their kids Jessica (Leland), Brittany, Joe Jr (Rachel) all of whom he adored.
He is also survived by his sister Darlene, sisters in law Carolyn Cushing and Dixie Lestage. Three brothers in law Elwin and Henry Jimmo, and Leon Lestage, as well as four great grand children and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was pre-deceased by his daughter Gail Marie, his parents, his brother Leo, his sister Gloria (Kat) Terry, three brothers in law, Roger Jimmo, Frank Cushing and Robert Terry.
As per Frank’s wishes, there will be no funeral. A celebration of Frank’s life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Frank’s memory can be made to the VNA, 1110 Prim Road, Colchester VT 05446 or to Colchester Rescue, 687 Blakely Road, Colchester VT 05446.
