Condolence: Walter was indeed a kind and helpful man. When I worked at (what was then) the VT Department of Social Welfare and later the Agency on Aging, Walter was always there to help make seniors and persons with disabilities in whatever way he could. He was humane and understanding and competent and the model of a good public servant.

Condolence: Dear Carol and family: Holding all of you in prayer and my deep sympathy as Walter has made his way to his Loving God. I have so many happy memories of Walter from our many hours shared at the Social Security Office in Burlington, especially during the 1970's. He was always so kind, so calm, so helpful and a true friend. Was always glad to see him at St. Mark' s over these later years. Much gratitude and caring. Sr. Mary Boiselle

Condolence: I was very saddened to learn of Mr. Miranowicz's death. He was my supervisor during my tenure as a Social Security Claims Representative in the Burlington office. Of all the offices that I worked at in my 28 year career, he was the most compassionate and dedicated supervisor that I had ever had. He motivated all of us to do our very best and treat each client with the utmost respect. I give my heartfelt wishes of peace to all his family and friends.

Condolence: I was truly saddened to hear of Walter's passing. I worked as a Security Officer in the Social Security office and in the years I was there, I valued Walter's presence in the office and as a friend. He was incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, helpful, conscientious and courteous to both staff and the public. He would persist in helping people who were having difficulties until the issue was resolved. Walter would donate some of his vacation time to co-workers who had emergencies but were short of personal leave. If Walter could be of service to someone, he was. He had a very strong work ethic and was dedicated to the success of the office in serving the public. No matter who you were, Walter treated you with respect and kindness, as if each person was of importance. After his retirement, Walter was truly missed by the public and staff.
